New 'Breaking Bad' Season 5 Trailer: Time to Start Cooking Again
by Andy NeuenschwanderThe last teaser trailer we saw for "Breaking Bad" season 5 was frustratingly brief, with just a single tense line of dialogue between Walt and Saul. The newest teaser is a bit longer, but still is only just enough to make us want more.
The trailer is a mix of new and old footage, some of it being glimpses of Walt's victories from season four (you know the ones). The new footage is brief but telling: Jesse asking if Walt is going to cook again, Skylar looking concerned, and Walt telling Saul "we're done when I say we're done," as he did in the previous teaser. That phrase seems to be the "I'm the one who knocks" of this season.
More importantly, we get Mike's point of view about this whole thing. Presumably speaking to Walt, Mike's voice over talks about how Walt is a ticking time bomb, and how Mike doesn't want to be there for "the boom."
That clears up Mike's involvement in all of this: it's clear that Walt and Jesse are getting back to cooking, and that Mike is taking a hands-off approach to all of it. Well, at least he's not trying to kill Walt or anything.
